What Is a Featured Listing?

Some businesses on CT Boat Services pay a monthly fee of $50 to appear as a "Featured" listing. Featured listings receive priority placement within search results and category pages, and are clearly marked with a visible "Featured" badge.

What Featured Does Not Mean

Featured status does not reflect a review, endorsement, recommendation, or quality assessment by CT Boat Services. We do not evaluate or rank businesses by quality — Featured placement is a paid advertising option, clearly disclosed as such.

Free Listings Remain Visible

Non-featured (standard) listings remain fully visible and searchable throughout the directory. Standard listings are never removed, hidden, or demoted for not paying for Featured placement. Payment buys increased exposure — it does not determine whether basic factual information is available to directory users.

How to Identify Featured Listings

Every Featured listing is identified with a clearly visible gold "Featured" badge in search results, category pages, and on the business profile page. There is no ambiguity about which listings are paid placements.
